I think that for this First Church Talk to be viable and robust it really needs you, as a pastor, to post some things. It will add legitimacy and perhaps prompt others to try this out. This site needs to have a cheerleader and I am him. I truly believe that it is a great way to connect with everyone. BUT I need some help and as you are at the top of the spiritual food chain I would be grateful for a little help.
It's great to see another pastor in this fellowship. We are just starting this up and the main web-page is being redone as well and this will be part of that. What I have noticed is that most web pages invite people to look IN and see who we are, look IN to see where the services are, look IN to see about meetings and schedules, etc. What I hope to achieve is a way to reach OUT and create dialogues not only among ourselves at First Methodist, but to all the churches, the community at large, and so on, with no restriction on subject, denomination, or anything. Pastor Dave is thinking of starting his own blog, for instance. He's busy with a newborn, so this may take a while :-). The door is wide open and I couldn't be happier that you're here. Rob
